German Shepherd With Megaesophagus Eats In A High Chair!

This is an adorable, but sad, dog video. It features Bella, a cute German Shepherd mix, who was diagnosed with an awful congenital condition when she was rescued as a puppy. Her eating chair was especially designed and now there is no holding this Shepherd back. Dogs are so adaptable and cope with adversity really well! They’re so inspiring!

“Bailey’s Chair” was designed for dogs with Megaesophagus. This “highchair” for dogs can accommodate small and large dogs because it can be made using different materials and even in different sizes. With the proper eating position, diet, and medication, these dogs can live almost normally.

The original Youtube video description says:

“This is our cute dog Bella. She was diagnosed with congenital megaesophagus soon after we found her at 4 months old. Megaesophagus means that her esophagus is enlarged and lacks the muscle mobility to swallow food while horizontal. This is her “Baileys Chair,” which she needs sit in while eating and for 10 minutes after she eats. She eats soft dog food with a little water mixed in. She is now seven months old and doing great!”

This video was originally published on December 2011 and currently has more than one million views.

Enjoy!
